Tufting is everywhere right now, and whilst here at Tufting London we're all about everyone making their own masterpieces, sometimes its great to look at the professionals. There are some truly inspiring artists and designers out there working in rugs - far too many to list! - so here are just five of our favourite makers out there. 

Caroline Kaufman

Caroline Kaufman is a textile artist based in New York, whose bold patterns and bright colours make her rugs instantly recogniseable. If you like abstract patters and interesting shapes, her work will be right up your street.

Millie Sewell-Knight

Based in London, Millie Sewell-Knight's tufted pieces tell the same fantastical stories she tells through her illustrations. Her works feature delicate flowers, contrasting textures and even some beautiful beading.

Simone Elizabeth Saunders

These portraits are a stunning example of the many and varied things you can do with this medium. Incredibly detailed and visually striking, we love these amazing pieces, and wish we could see her work in person in the solo exhibition in New York.

Rugs by Trin

Rugs by Trin was founded by Toronto-based Trinity Leon in 2020, so perfectly on time to get on board with the tufting trend. They make amazing rugs for the home with a selection of lovely designs.
