About the Workshop

The Scent Alchemy workshop is an immersive one-and-a-half to two-hour expert-guided creative and wellness experience, hosted by The Candle Bar at Red Glasses Workshops, Arch 61, New Covent Garden Market, London SW8 5PP. Over the course of the session, participants discover the art and science of essential oils — how they are extracted, how they interact with the body and mind, and how to combine them into beautifully balanced, personally meaningful blends. Guided by expert hosts with deep knowledge of aromatherapy and natural wellness, every participant leaves with two signature aromatherapy blends — one energising, one calming — that are entirely their own creation.

Carrier Oils: The Foundation of Safe Blending

Essential oils are highly concentrated and must be diluted in a carrier oil before skin application. The Scent Alchemy workshop introduces participants to three carefully selected carrier oils — each with its own texture, absorbency, and skin-nourishing properties — and guides them in choosing the right carrier for their specific blend and intended use.
