Spend A Day in Nine Elms
Posted on
One of the most up and coming areas in London, the stretch of the Thames that encompasses Vauxhall and Battersea has many new and exciting things to offer. Get to know the area by spending a day filled with our favourite local activities!

Start your day with fresh pastries and coffee at Darby's, the NYC inspired oyster bar and grill that doubles as a coffee shop and bakery in the early mornings. Swing by and pick it up to go, or if you have a little time to spend, sit in and soak up the start of a lovely day.
Next, it’s time to start the day’s activities on a high with a rug tufting workshop at Tufting London. In a bright and airy unit seconds from Nine Elms Station you’ll find a hidden tufting haven. In 3.5 hours (for a mini rug) you’ll learn to wield a tufting gun, and leave with a handmade fluffy art piece of your very own! Perfect for beginners and experienced crafters alike.
Once you’ve worked up an appetite by being creative, we recommend heading over to Battersea Power Station’s Arcade Food Hall for a choice of lunch foods. Perfect for a group, everyone can grab something different if they’d like!
After lunch, browse some of the shops at Battersea Power Station, or take a wander through Battersea Park, which has all manner of things to see - a children’s zoo, beautiful trees and a lakeside promenade to name a few.

Finally, finish off the day with a delicious dinner at Cinnamon Kitchen, who offer modern Indian cuisine from their Battersea venue, and drinks on the water at the Battersea Barge.
